The Origin
Built from the making, outward.
Dahli began on the factory floor. Eighteen years of designing and producing furniture taught us that the work either holds together across drawing, material, and assembly — or it falls apart at the joins, in the field, where it matters.
Most of the trade is split. A brand draws a piece, hands it to a factory it has never visited, and hopes the object that returns resembles the intent. We were unwilling to work that way, so we stopped separating the parts.
The Standard
What arrives is what was drawn.
Design and manufacturing answer to the same standard here. A change to a dimension, a material, or a finish moves through one house — not across a gap between vendors — so nothing is lost in translation.
The result is furniture made to specification rather than chosen from a shelf: contract-grade, accountable, and built for the room it was made for. Deliberate work, arrived at over time, made to endure.
